I know, I know… its November! But Christmas is just around the corner, and I cannot help but be a little bit excited for my favourite time of the year. The holiday season gets me all a little bit crazy and this year is just not an exception {yep and its still only November!}
We are hosting two Christmas parties this year {for friends and then one for our staff}, and the decorating and food planning is such great fun. I’ve been scouring boards and pins, and making notes here {and I will be putting up wreaths, colour co-ordinating baubles and decorations with gift-wrap, and making handmade gifts for friends… It’s a given!}.
I’ve bought new magazines and spend too much time looking {dreaming} at the beautiful pictures {possibly should be paying bills?!}. This Australian Woman’s Weekly special has become a favourite, with so many gorgeous recipes and holiday party planning tips.
I’ve online shopped and shipped most of my Christmas presents, with a few trickier recipients to go. I’ve laid out the decorations, started alterations on the wreaths, begun writing {and sample stitching} some free Christmas patterns and procrastinated about some custom quilts and tote bag’s I’ve been commissioned to make {supplies are nearly all here for a big week of sewing!}.
And so it would seem the Christmas bug has caught on…
How is your Christmas planning going? Any die-hard Christmas fans out there waiting to put up the tree! Any tips for controlling the relationship between the tree and walking {and grabbing at everything} toddlers?

We put the lights on our house yesterday, and will decorate the inside after we return from Thanksgiving travel. I LOVE getting ready for Christmas!
