I have seen so many New Year’s posts popping up on my blog and Instagram feed over the past few days – filled with so many brilliant ideas and ventures, mentoring programs, resolutions and hashtags for sewing stash fabrics, whipping works in progress projects and words to live the New Year by.
I’m not going to set a resolution, nor am I going to commit to not buying any new fabrics {seriously – how many of you think I could resist?!} or name one word I am going to align with my lifestyle. I will though, commit to making the most of next year and all that it may bring. A year, perhaps, of celebrating new ventures {and adventures}, new habits and new motivators, new life and new friendships, new patterns and designs {maybe even new fabrics}?!
Our ‘Annual Report’ here at live.love.sew pattern co. showed the free pattern download and tutorial of our Charmed Quilt was the most popular – I love sharing my designs, and these figures and your response {and gorgeous comments} really confirms that I’m doing what I should be, and that its completely worthwhile! I’m thrilled that this quilt has been featured in an upcoming edition of the Make Modern Magazine – a new Australian e-zine really making a mark on the quilting world – along with so many other gorgeous quilts and projects made through the Aussie Charm Swaps I have been involved in this year. I hope to continue to work more with the Make Modern girls, and have some fun ideas up my sleeve – I just need enough courage to pitch them {?!}.
Some of you may have also noticed a few changes occurring on the website during the past week; change, they say, is as good as a holiday so I’ve given this site a bit of a makeover and added an online store, choosing to close both my etsy and craftsy stores.
Part of this is due to the whole VAT mess {Value Added Tax – imposed on anyone selling digital products to those in the European Union} – basically, in order to sell my pdf products to anyone in the EU as of January 1st, I need to collect, register and pay VAT in each country separately. It pains me to have to close my etsy and craftsy stores, and restrict who I sell products to, but as a small business I just haven’t the resources to be able to do this. I’m praying that they listen, and make necessary changes so we can continue to sell to those customers in the EU
For all other followers and readers, please enjoy browsing {and shopping!} the live.love.sew pattern co. online store {it is a bit exciting being able to write this, let alone say it!} – makes it all feel very ‘grown up’, professional and real!
The makeover has been made possible using the fabulous themes, and guidance from Lauren at restored 316 designs – I have managed to pull it off so far on my own using Lauren’s guides, some amazing blogging friends {thanks Jennie!} and the wonderful www, however if you have any issues navigating the site, find any links that may be broken, or have any suggestions on what you would like to see please let me know! Remember also to sign up to our newsletter, a new feature of live.love.sew pattern co. with exclusive updates, discount codes and special offers! It works {and looks fabulous} on mobile devices also, which is a huge bonus.
Hoping this finds you all well, may you all have a happy, safe and creative New Year!
